February 18 – The Big Story: God’s Love Affair with the World

In the second session of the series, “Reading the Bible,” we will step back and look at the big picture, summarizing the central story line of the Bible within the framework of Genesis and Revelation.

February 25 –Struggling with Competing Views

In the final session of the series, we will recognize some debates within the Bible, and consider the implications for us.

March 3, 10, and 17 — Science for Our Time: Science, Faith, and the Environment

Rachel Krause, Associate Professor of Biology at CMU, will unpack some of the confusion associated with science, discuss what “science” and the “scientific method” have to offer, and decode some of the language used by scientists. She will help us understand how science affects our faith, and how a responsible faith might respond.
