Affirming Church

Bethel Mennonite Church has been an openly Affirming, Inclusive, and Welcoming congregation since 2016.  Those who identify as 2SLGBTQ+  are welcome at Bethel, and are able to participate fully in the life of the church as we grow in faith together.  This includes the right to marry within the church, to serve the congregation and the community in leadership roles, and to receive pastoral support as needed.

Each Sunday at Bethel, our bulletin shares the following reminder:

“Imitating the inclusive welcome of Jesus, we seek to be a community marked by the love of God.  Regardless of age, race, gender identity or sexual orientation, we invite you to make Bethel your spiritual home. Sharing the peace of Christ, together we strive to reveal the realm of God in the world.”
