Our worship through the month of October invites us into this season of thanksgiving through the theme of food. The daily bread that we receive is a critical way in which we experience the love and care of God, and so the Bible is full of stories in which God’s people are fed. This week we celebrate World-Wide Communion Sunday, sharing the Lord’s Supper alongside our family of faith that stretches around the world and across denominational lines. Just a little water and a morsel of bread can sustain us in powerful ways.

Thanksgiving Food Drive:

On Sunday October 13, you are invited to bring a nonperishable food item to worship to contribute to our emergency food pantry at Bethel. Some of our most-needed items include peanut butter, pasta sauce, rice, beans, and canned fruits and veggies. These items are distributed at Bethel’s food bank and are also shared with neighbours in need of emergency food assistance. As we give thanks for God’s good gifts to us on this Thanksgiving Sunday, thank you for sharing with our neighbours in this way!
